'Girl throwing puppies in river' tentatively IDed as one Katja Puschnik

Several Facebook groups have been born, and rewards have been posted, as the Internet and Bosnia police search for a young woman who appears on an Internet video throwing squealing puppies into a river, where they undoubtedly drown.

The posting of the video came only days after the so-called "Cat Bin Lady," Mary Bale, in the U.K. was lambasted over a video showing her placing a cat into a trash bin where it sat for 15 hours. In that case, the Internet group 4Chan was instrumental in identifying her, and posting her personal details as well.

In this case, members of 4chan were able to track down the owner of the Bosnian YouTube account that originally uploaded the video. That video, originally posted on YouTube, has been removed, but still exists on sites like LiveLeak.

Reportedly, animals rights group Flekice has filed a complaint to police claiming that the girl seen on the video came from the central town of Bugojno. Police are investigating, but at the same time, several blog sites and Facebook groups have identified the girl as one Katja Puschnik. None of this information has been confirmed as yet.

Both PETA and Rescue Ink have offered separate $2,000 rewards for information leading to the capture of the young woman, who appears to be a teenager, as reported on one of the Facebook group's, Find the girl throwing puppies in the river!!!!!.
