A new student loan consolidation program is here. It starts this Wednesday. The federal student loans program will help to consolidate your debt that has been with you since the college years.
Income-Based Repayment is a new way to lower your federal student loan payments starting July 1, 2009. It caps monthly payments and forgives remaining debt and interest after 25 years.
By the way, the Obama Administration announced a shorter, simpler Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) that will make it easier to apply for college financial aid. So not only student loans will be easier to reply, but also the applications are simplified for applying for future student loans.
