Linda Perry, Sara Gilbert Confirmed as a Couple on "The Talk"

After photos of the couple walking hand-in-hand in L.A. surfaced over Thanksgiving weekend, former “Roseanne” star Sara Gilbert confirmed the she and songwriter Linda Perry are dating.

Sara Gilbert made her relationship with songwriter Linda Perry official on Wednesday's "The Talk." "The Talk" is a talk show, which we are sure you couldn 't have guessed, created by Sara Gilbert, who also serves as the executive producer and one of the hosts. In this way, it is similar to "The View." Current hosts are Presented by Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Sheryl Underwood (2011–present), and Aisha Tyler (2011–present). In the first season, Holly Robinson Peete (2010–2011), Leah Remini (2010–2011), and Marissa Jaret Winokur (2010) appeared on the show.

Speaking to her co-hosts on "The Talk," Sara Gilbert said, "The other day I was just out, and the paparazzi were there." She and the rest looked at images of Gilbert and Linda Perry, who is a musician, songwriter and producer, holding hands while shopping in public. "All these articles are out that I'm in a new relationship. I go online, and it's on CNN...it's weird."

The audience of "The Talk" applauded while Gilbert gave the news. Gilbert was surprised that the news went viral, and that anyone really cared, perhaps underestimating her notoriety, or that of Linda Perry.

Sara Gilbert starred as Darlene Conner on the show "Rosanne:" from 1988 to 1997. When Gilbert attended Yale University, producers didn't want to lose her character from the show, so storylines and taping schedules were juggled to allow her to study while remaining part of the cast. Remote segments of Darlene were filmed at a soundstage in New York. She graduated from Yale with honors in 1997.

Gilbert first publicly came out in 2010. She split from her longtime partner, Allison Adler, whom she had spent 10 years with, in August of this year. Gilbert, 36, and Adler have two children together, 7-year-old son Levi and 4-year-old daughter Sawyer.

Linda Perry, 46, was once best known as the lead singer and primary songwriter of 4 Non Blondes. However, Perry has founded two record labels and has become a major songwriter and producer.
