If you are concerned about buying from a reliable vendor, you can go wrong with this deal: Apple has a number of 2012 generation refurbished Macbook Pros on sale at their site, with the deals ranging from 15 percent off and up.

In addition to the refurbished 2012 Macbooks, which use Ivy Bridge processors, there are also Macbooks released still earlier, with the prior generation Sandy Bridge processors. This year's INtel upgrade to its Core processors is dubbed Haswell, and promises better performance and better battery life. Microsoft, in particular, is betting on Haswell processors to bring the battery life of its Surface Pro 2 tablets in line with a work day.
