'Teen Mom 2' Leah Messer jumped by unknown trio of women

Being a celebrity isn't all it's cracked up to be, and that includes the somewhat faux celebrity life of a reality TV star, such as Leah Messer, from "Teen Mom 2."

"Teen Mom 2" star Leah Messer has had enough heartache for the year, without this latest set of news. It was recently revealed that the 19-year-old reality TV star miscarried. Her fiance, Jeremy Calvert, announced just a few weeks ago in an issue of OK! magazine that she had lost the two twins she had been pregnant with.

Leah Messer had been expecting a set of half-siblings for her earlier twin girls, Aliannah and Aleeah, who she had as a result of her relationship with then-fiance Corey Simms. That relationship was documented on the show "16 and Pregnant" back in 2009. The pair were married in October of 2010, but divorced just six months later after trying to make the family complete.

Now, though, Messer has been assailed by attackers. According to her mother, Dawn Spears, Leah Messer was attacked by three girls over the weekend. Spears Tweeted that "3 girls ... jumped Leah at the movie theatre" in West Virginia last weekend. Reportedly, the reality TV star had just left the movie theater with Jeremy Calvert.

A woman began to follow the couple, verbally harassing Messer. Then two other womejn showed up and all three of them began to beat Messer, according to the website. It took Calvert and a security guard together to pull the women off Messer.

Spears Tweeted that "Jeremy said they was heavy set women and the one wouldn't get off his arm. [...] we had 3 car loads at the theatre within 10 min."

While Spears has been freely Tweeting about the attack, neither Messer nor Calvert have issued any Tweets about the incident. Meanwhile, Spears is offering a $500 reward to anyone who can identify her daughter's alleged attackers, and Messer planned to file a police report on Tuesday.

Spears added the following, again on Twitter, on Monday. "Because of a show people r so rude, cruel, and I really can't believe what people would do to others because of the show. I'm at a place in life I really never knew people could be like they r. VIOLENCE AND HATE is raging! Very sad."

Ironically, the "Teen Mom 2" reunion special, part 1, airs tonight at 10 p.m. on MTV.
