Bollywood star Salman Khan released on bail-Reach Mumbai

Bollywood star Salman Khan released on bail from Jodhpur Jail and is back home in Mumbai.

High Court of Rajastan (India) has granted bail to Salman Khan, who is in Jodhpur jail in connection with the chinkara poaching case.

Salman Khan was released on the security of Rs.1,00,000.00 and a bond of Rs.50, 000.

The court fixed the next date of hearing the petition as October 24. Khan had been in Jodhpur central jail for the past seven days.

He returns to Mumbai to an enthusiastic welcome from hundreds of delighted fans.

Salman Khan was convicted on April 10, 2006 for hunting two black bucks on September 28, 1998 during the shoot of Sooraj Barjatya's film Hum Saath Saath Hain.

His bail plea - Salman stated that there was no evidence against him in the case. His driver Harish Dulani's testimony in the court was not trustworthy since he had been frequently changing his statements. This apart, the defence lawyers were not given a chance to cross-examine Dulani.
