Brightpoint, Inc. announced today that its subsidiary, Brightpoint Australia Pty Ltd. ("Brightpoint"), has entered into an agreement with Dopod International Corp. ("Dopod") to distribute a range of products from Dopod International including the 838Pro ultra-slim 3G Slide PDA phone to the Australian distribution channel including the retail market and mobile carriers.
Dopod International has a strategic partnership with High Tech Computer (HTC), one of the world's leading Smartphone manufacturers behind many renowned global brand names. In addition, Dopod International's products are based on the widely accepted Microsoft Windows Mobile software platform. The software helps companies and individuals improve productivity by offering business applications, easy access to e-mail, and enhanced security features.
