Physical Therapy Network Relieves Security Pain With SonicWALL

SonicWALL, Inc., a leading provider of Network, Web, email security and backup and recovery solutions, announced today that PT Solutions, a fast-growing physical therapy provider, has selected SonicWALL to create a secure network for its 13 clinics and a remote billing center in Alabama and Georgia. The easy-to-use network infrastructure offers the physical therapy practice mobility and secures systems at every point to support compliance with HIPAA regulations.

From the beginning, the founders of PT Solutions planned to build an innovative IT infrastructure for their physical therapy practice. Since they were growing so quickly but did not want to incur the cost of full time IT staff, the practice selected SonicWALL partner Rocket IT to build and manage their entire IT infrastructure. Rocket IT recommended standardizing on SonicWALL products to provide comprehensive network security and facilitate HIPAA compliance, and enable remote management and monitoring of PT Solutions' network.

PT Solutions' back-office systems are hosted by Rocket IT at their premises. The servers sit behind a SonicWALL PRO Series dynamic threat management firewall, and the practice's clinics and remote billing center are each equipped with a SonicWALL TZ 170 Wireless firewall appliance, enabling each location to use secure wireless connections to enhance productivity. All appliances are managed by Rocket IT using SonicWALL's easy-to-manage Global Management System (GMS). About one-third of PT Solutions' workforce is mobile to better support patient loads, and users are now able to establish secure communications from any location with a wired or wireless Internet connection using with the SonicWALL Global VPN Client.
