A charity in New Zealand has rejected funds raised by a group of young doctors who bared it all in a saucy calendar.

The young doctors donned their birthday suits for a calendar to raise a few heart beats, and a few pennies, but New Zealand charity KidsCan told the doctors that they don't want a penny of it.

"(The guys) were really putting themselves out of the comfort zone for a good cause," says Sam Hazeldine, Mr December and organiser.

KidsCan, who raise money for children who are financially disadvantaged, said they initially thought the idea of a calendar was great, but on seeing the saucy prints they changed their minds.

"To be honest I was a bit disappointed that KidsCan couldn't take the money because....it seems like a pretty hefty donation they would have received," says Sam Dunn, Mr January.

Now the boys have opted for a more appropriate charity, the Prostate Cancer Foundation, who are more than happy to take their money.

The cheeky medics say they have doctors lining up to shed their clothes in the name of a good cause for future calendars.
