Eva Mendes 'Racking Up' Frequent Flyer Miles

After completing what seems like nearly a dozen film projects this year -- in addition to her spokesmodel duties for Calvin Klein, Macy's and Hershey's Mounds Bars - curvy Latina superstar Eva Mendes says she has "racked up" enough frequent flyer miles to go to the Moon and back - and not once, but twice!

"My boyfriend George [Gargurevich] and I were on a flight recently, in first class, and we sat down to figure it all out on my Blackberry," said the vivacious Cuban-American vixen, currently co-starring in Frank Miller's "The Spirit" with Scarlett Johansson, Eric Balfour, Jaime King, Gabriel Macht, Dan Gerrity, and Arthur the Cat. "We were really surprised at how much travelling I have done this year."

But being a celebrity doesn't always guarantee you get to go somewhere. Despite her celebrity status, Mendes has been turned down for a ticket to US president-elect Barack Obama's inauguration ceremony into the White House.

The 'Hitch' star, who is a big fan of Obama, is upset that she failed to secure an invite for his swearing in ceremony, which will take place in Washington on January 20.

"Hottest ticket party in town ... I thought I had some pull - I usually do, and I've been shut down. It's the hardest party to get into," she told 'Access Hollywood'.

Despite the failure, the actress has vowed not to give up in her quest to get a ticket to the historical event.

"We are still working on it, but I understand the whole thing.

"They don't want to make (it) a celebrity studded event because I understand this in an extremely crucial time in our history and in our world right now. And I understand not wanting to make (it) a star-studded event; I completely understand that. But of course, I would love to go and be there," she added. "I would love to go there, and I would love to go to the Moon, also."

Mendes' latest film opens in theaters nationwide this week. Coming projects? "I would love to work with Daniel Craig, that has always been my dream. And of course, to pull Morrissey into a three-way PETA project together with myself and Jennifer Aniston making up the rest of the sandwich is another fantasy of mine."
