The security guard found the baby in Nevada, inside the car in the parking lot. The hit was 102 degrees. Father Lucien Hoffman was inside the brothel.
Police says the baby girl was in the car for 2 hours and 20 minutes. The father is a 26 years old man.
The event happend in Nevada and CNN shows the images from a Brothel Mustang Ranch . The father is from Oregon.
In the beginning they did not know who's child is the baby, but when the police arrived and they came in, they identified the father inside the brothel.
How can you do something like this? So 2-year old baby waits in the hot car in 102 degree while father is having some time inside the brothel. The issue raises serious custody questions and makes one to revisit the idea of what parenting is.
Investigators say Hoffman, who is not married, has joint custody of the child. The Child's mother was notified at her residence in Bend, Oregon, while the social workers took custody of the child. The little girl was treated for dehydration.
Brothels are legal in the state of Nevada. CNN says father was having "private function" inside the brothel. The child could have died under those circumstances.
Father Lucien Hoffman was arrested and charged with Child Neglect and is being held at Storey County Detention Facility.

I am not sure what to do. My STBX is very attached to his daughter. She loves him dearly. I saw joint legal and physical custody as the best interest for her, even though it is hard on the parents not seeing her.
One time he went out around a block, she was playing with tv. He told her to stay inside. She eventually got bored at 4 and went out looking for him. I came home (we were still living in same home until house sold)and she started crying that the lady around the corner. None of knew this neighbor. I tried to explain to her not to go with strangers, she said she told me her name. I just prayed to God this would not happen again and then I thanked God for watching over her (ie she was not a rapist, molesterer, etc)
Another time, I was away for the weekend (house still not sold, again his week). I see him running up and down the street. He said that he lost her. He was showering she asked if she could play outside, he said YES? No one was outside. I drove to the 2 parks, I looked in the house. I started screaming and crying. All neighbors are looking for her I call the police. She starts crying. She was playing in the car in over 80 degree heat and locked herself in. She could have died if it was really hot? How could he let her play in front yard, ungated, without supervision?
NOW... I had her for a week. We are not fully separated. She cried to me telling me that daddy leaves her in the car while he goes in the house with "@#$#^", not giving name. She said police came once, but daddy ran out of the house and stopped them from taking her away?!! I think I know the woman's name. My daughter is now 5. She says she lives with her parents. I dont know what town. I dont know what street. Any advise? I think it's time I get all these police reports and file for full custody, him having supervised custody.
HELP!!!
this is so sad. so so sad!!! What an idiot!!
Father neglecting child
I am watching this father neglecting the child story on TV and what I was also shocking beside all of these, is that when they found him inside the brothel he did not appearently fully relize what was really going on and what he did wrong? Should people like this be called Father? Where is this society going here?
