Cochran joins McAfee from Hyperion, where he has served as vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary since January 2005. He has a broad range of experience that includes mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and intellectual property protection. Cochran served as vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary for 11 months in 2004 at Brocade Communications Systems, a storage networking company. Prior to that, he served as vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary of AvantGo (acquired by Sybase).

Cochran holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California Davis. He received his Juris Doctor degree from Santa Clara University Law School and a Master of Business Administration degree from Santa Clara University Graduate School of Business.-McAfee
