Houston Museum Presents Houston Wilderness

An exhibition named Houston Wilderness: A Collaboration is on view from September 22, 2007 - January 6, 2008 at Houston Museum

This exhibition presents a selection of more than 50 photographs that highlight the natural beauty of the Houston area and wilderness regions around the city. the exhibition is a joint project of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston and Houston Wilderness, a non-profit organization serving as a bridge between the growing urban areas and the wetlands, forests, prairies, and river systems.

The photographs selected represent the diversity of the ecological systems in and near the Houston area, drawing attention to natural resources from the Big Thicket and the Piney Woods, to the Bottomlands and Prairie systems and Coastal marshes.
