Nan Goldin Stories At Houston Museum

Houston Museum exhibition presents American artist Nan Goldin´s semi-documentary photographs depicting the private dramas of people and situations typically considered to be on the outer reaches of social acceptability and her installation art in the form of slide shows and video.

The slide shows and video are drawn from The Ballad of Sexual Dependency, (1980—86), Goldin´s elegy to lives destroyed by AIDS, All By Myself (1995-96), and Sisters, Saints, and Sibyls (2004), an account of love and loss focusing on the life of Goldin´s sister, Barbara, who committed suicide. The exhibition also presents five large grids of photographs and about 15 individual works.

The exhibition will be on view November 4, 2007 - February 10, 2008.
