Sector-oriented solutions will take center-stage, from the processing of synthetic and natural fibers, through knitting, right up to finishing.
For the first time at ITMA, Siemens A&D will present total solutions using drives that have been specially adapted to the requirements of the textile industry. The current converters feature integral PLC functionality and guarantee the high output frequency required for dynamic applications. In addition, Siemens A&D will present total solutions for synthetic fiber plants, with a range of services from consulting and project handling to startup. The presentation will also include compact solutions for synthetic fiber spinning, as well as networked solutions for circular knitting machines based on the extended Sitex controller with piezoelectric actuators for electronic individual needle selection. The Sitex controller is also characterized by improved ruggedness in the face of harsh environmental influences such as oil and dust. The Siemens torque motors for the extrusion of synthetic fibers, and Profinet-based real-time Ethernet communication will also be on show in Munich.-Siemens
