AT&T Wins International Stevie Award in 4th International Business Awards

AT&T Inc. today announced that its eSales and Service organization was presented with a Stevie Award for "Best Sales Organization" at the 2007 International Business Awards. Additionally, the company's web portal, AT&T BusinessDirect®, earned an International Certificate of Finalist Recognition for its mobile capabilities.

The portal's mobile capabilities allow customers around the world to access select features of the portal from any mobile device, providing "anytime, anywhere" maintenance and performance-monitoring of networks that carry critical data and applications.

Nicknamed the Stevie for the Greek word "crowned," the awards are presented to winners during a gala ceremony in Munich, Germany. The International Business Awards are the only global, all-encompassing business awards program honoring great performances in business.

The AT&T BusinessDirect portal combines service management and support-reporting tools into a single, secure extranet site that provides users with increased visibility and cost control over their network performance and investments. Each month, hundreds of thousands of AT&T business customers conduct more than 3 million transactions — including ordering services, maintenance requests and billing inquiries — using the AT&T BusinessDirect portal.

"We're pleased that AT&T's continued commitment to deliver the best online customer service in the industry has been recognized with a third Stevie award this year. This is an important area of our business," said John Cushman, vice president of eSales and Services. Earlier this year, AT&T captured two Stevie Awards for Sales Excellence with the AT&T eSales and Service organization and for Best New Product or Service in Telecommunications with the AT&T BusinessDirect mobile capabilities in the 2007 American Business Awards.

Recipients of 98 International Stevie Award trophies were selected from more than 1,000 nominations received from companies and individuals in more than 30 countries. Stevie Awards were presented in more than 40 categories, including Best Multinational Company and Best New Product to Best Corporate Social Responsibility Program. More than 1,000 entries from companies of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration. -AT&T
