Everyman Theatre Serves Up A Feast Of Fun

As part of the Hope Street Feast this Sunday, the Everyman is opening up its doors to give a taste of the theatre and whet the appetite for the forthcoming Autumn-Winter season.

Story-tellers will be reading Aladdin to children from 3pm in the Everyman foyer to give a sneak peak of this year's rock 'n' roll pantomime, while our panto characters themselves will be roaming Hope Street! To celebrate the opening of Intemperance, our first play of the season, guided tours of Liverpool will be taking place around the areas and landmarks featured in Lizzie Nunnery's play.

There is also the opportunity to explore behind the scenes at the Everyman with backstage tours taking place throughout the day. Finally, if the pace all gets too much, there will be a Tai Chi demonstration at 2pm in the Everyman foyer to help you unwind. To book on to the Intemperance guided tour call the box office on 0151 709 4776, while you just need to turn up on the day for the backstage tours. All events are free.

As well as our events, Hope Street will be hosting a farmer's market, the Philharmonic Hall and Unity Theatre are both offering an insider's view of their buildings with open days and the street's fine array of restaurants, bars and bistros will all be open with special offers promoting this year's food and drink theme.

Hope Street Feast takes place on Sunday 16 September with events at the Everyman occurring from 11am to 4.00pm. -- www.everymanplayhouse.com
