The museums of the Fort Worth Cultural District are proud to announce the second annual Day in the District on September 29, 2007, from 10 a.m. to 5p.m.
Day in the District is a celebration of the varied artistic and cultural organizations in Fort Worth. Museums will offer free admission, and many of Fort Worth's cultural organizations will offer free performances in and around the museums. This family friendly event is designed to encourage local residents to experience the rich cultural opportunities that Fort Worth has to offer in the Cultural District.
On the same day, the Carter presents Family Fun Day in conjunction with Day in the District, with hands-on art activities and refreshments available from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The performance schedule at the Carter features the Fort Worth Classical Guitar Society (in the auditorium at noon) and Ballet Folklorico Azteca (at 2 p.m. outdoors on the plaza).
Admission to all of the museums is free on this day. -- www.cartermuseum.org
