San Francisco Museum will present Chim: Photography of David Seymour (1911–1956), on view from September 29, 2007 to February 24, 2008.

As a photographer and co-founder of the journalistic photo-cooperative Magnum Photos Inc., David Seymour, known as Chim, documented world events, popular culture, and social and political developments.

Chim: The Photography of David Seymour (1911–1956), which contains more than 70 photographs, 36 of which are from the Museums' collection, looks at the life and work of Chim, spanning the rise of Hitler, the effects of World War II, the post-war reconstruction of Europe, the creation of film icons, and the formation of Israel. -- www.thinker.org
