New course develops management skills

The management skills gained through the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) Diploma in Management can be put into practice across a range of business sectors and less conventional business-based careers.

The course is suitable for anyone with some experience of middle management or staff supervision.

The qualification is taught for one year at the University’s Claverton campus through weekly evening tutorials, some weekend workshops and online support.

Course units cover how to develop an effective management style, financial management, developing personnel, marketing, project management and effective communication and information management.

The CMI Diploma is one of over 135 part-time courses on offer at the University of Bath this autumn, covering a wide range of subjects from performing arts to psychology and history.-University of Bath
