On the official site for Super Smash Bros. Brawl, series creator Masahiro Sakurai announced today that the upcoming game for Wii will be playable over Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.
According to Sakurai, the new Smash Bros. will feature two primary connection methods: With Friends and With Anyone. Those playing With Friends will have a number of special options available for them that are not available in matches With Anyone.
