President Obama made a gaffe on his appearance on Leno tonight. The President made a off hand joke about how his bowling skills were like the "special Olympics" (for which his staff quickly apologized). But it was the only gaffe of the night, in general his conversation with Leno was very encouraging.
President Obama projected confidence, control, intelligence, and Optimism. He told Leno that the Economy will improve and things will get better. It will take time, he said, but we will pull out of this.
Most impressively the President candidly admitted that most of our current problems were the result of actions that are currently legal. He railed against the legal protections credit card companies enjoy at the expense of consumers. He damned the lack of regulations that led to the debacle that is AIG.
Mr. Obama declared that we must change our system, restore oversight, increase regulation and finally alter the law to make sure that if greedy executives and tyrannical corporations continue to behave as they have, it will not simply be immoral but illegal as well.
On a final note, the President came off as simply a likable guy. An honest and hard working man, whom we can trust to do his best. President Obama is hard not to like, and that showed on Leno tonight.

#1 If I only had a brain
The media use to comment on how Cheney was Bush's brain. I guess the teleprompter is Obama's brain.
