Typhoon Wipha to hit Shanghai - 200,000 people evacuated

The weather was calm in Shanghai, a city of 17 million, on Wednesday morning, but the typhoon had already claimed a victim.

Typhoon Wipha slammed into the coast south of Shanghai early Wednesday,the storm, packing sustained winds of 100 mph, made landfall near Cangnan in southern Zhejiang province, some 240miles south of Shanghai, state media reported.
