2008 Ford Focus Creates Ultimate Driving Experience

New Ford Focus redefines the image of a compact car utilizing three main elements, key to any driver’s heart: something that is great to look at, great to sit in, and great to drive; and all for under $15,000.

The word “small” is no longer associated with the word “cheap.” To Ford, small is the new big; big opportunities and big savings come in a small package.

The Focus is pleasing to the eye with a robust redesign of the exterior body giving it a “strong sense of direction,” said Peter Horbury, Ford’s Executive Director of Design in The Americas.

Introduced this year are two unique technologies that satisfy the “great to sit in” element: programmable LED ambient lighting, and the integration of Microsoft’s Ford Sync, which is an on-board computer platform offering hands-free, voice activated blue-tooth technology.

Improvements have been made to the suspension tuning and sound deadening materials to make the driving experience comfortable and quiet. With gas prices on the rise, emphasis has been placed on making Focus more fuel efficient and environmentally friendly through a 130-horsepoer Duratec 20E engine that qualifies Focus as a Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle (PZEV).

Of course, the focus of Focus is safety, which is why it comes standard with Ford’s Personal Safety System including Ford’s Safety Canopy,.

Why use Focus to showcase these modern gizmos? To drive the point home of just how affordable a safe, stylish car can be. Targeted for purchase are first time buyers under the age of thirty, who are fading away from the excess in life, and striving to be a more succinct, compact and connected generation, while keeping a tight budget in mind.

Overall, Focus is fun and safe to drive thanks to the emphasis on strong styling and innovative technology at an affordable price. For more information, please visit .
