Saint Louis Museum Announces ‘Art After 5’ Performance

The Saint Louis Art Museum welcomes local acoustic guitarist and songwriter Javier Mendoza to Grigg Gallery for a free concert September 28 at 6 p.m.

Mendoza creates a unique sound by mixing elements from Latin and world music with classical and modern influences. He has played alongside The Roots, Ben Folds and Willie Nelson, among others, and in 2006 received the KDHX Audience Award for Best Latin Artist in St. Louis.

The performance is part of the Museum's Art After 5 series, which features solo and ensemble musicians the fourth Friday of each month. Drinks and light fare will be available for purchase in Sculpture Hall from Puck's Restaurant. -- www.stlouis.art.museum
