The Young Friends of the Saint Louis Art Museum, in partnership with the Flora Conservancy of Forest Park, present the second annual Bacchus at the Basin September 28 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Grand Basin in Forest Park.
As the official preview party for the St. Louis Wine Festival, the event features wines from around the world, hors d'oeuvres from some of St. Louis' finest caterers and live music by Hudson and the Hoo Doo Cats.
Created in 1994, the Young Friends of the Saint Louis Art Museum is a dynamic group of more than 400 men and women who are dedicated to a greater appreciation of art. Each year, the Young Friends hold a variety of activities including art lectures and discussions, exhibition previews, collection tours, receptions, parties, and events that increase the awareness of art and culture in St. Louis.
The Flora Conservancy of Forest Park, established in 1999, is a not-for-profit organization in partnership with the St. Louis Department of Parks, Recreation and Forestry, whose mission is to design, enhance and maintain the gardens, savannahs and prairies as outlined in the Master Plan of Forest Park.
Tickets are $50 ($40 for Saint Louis Art Museum and Flora Conservancy Members). All event proceeds benefit the Young Friends of the Saint Louis Art Museum and the Flora Conservancy. Parking is available along Lagoon Drive in Forest Park. -- www.stlouis.art.museum
