When you’re not busy getting schooled in the ways of the ninja in Naruto’s DS debut, Naruto: Ninja Council – European Version, you can practice your craft against unsuspecting friends in the way of four-player wireless games.
Each player will need his or her own copy of the game, and when you get together, you can fight it out in three multiplayer challenges: Scroll Battle, Treasure Hunt and Battle Royal. In each game, you’ll use your ninja skills you’ve honed in the single-player part of the game to best your opponents in each event.
Scroll Battle is a timed event where you attack your opponent to collect scrolls. The one with the most scrolls when time runs out wins. For no-holds barred fighting, play Battle Royal. It’s an every-man-for-himself fight where the winner is the last one with energy left in his meter. The final game, Treasure Hunt, is the most strategic of all. Here, each ninja-in-training has a specific item he or she needs to collect to win. If you discover other items that are not your own, you can collect them and foil your opponents. Their items do reappear elsewhere in the arena, but they’ll have to start all over in tracking them down.
These multiplayer games go a long way in extending the Naruto experience and are great additions to the franchise’s DS introduction. Stay tuned for more Naruto news leading up to the game’s launch. -Nintendo
