The doyennes of comedy French and Saunders will be hitting the road for the first time this century with a blend of classic comedy for one night only show at The Mayflower on Monday 14 April 2008.
Dawn French, best known for her lovable starring role as the vicar of the Vicar of Dibley, joins forces once again with friend and colleague Jennifer Saunders in a show that features the duo re-enacting some of their favourite sketches and characters from the archives as well as bags of new material.
Could time finally be taking it's toll on the fearless double act? As Jennifer explains "I'm 49 years old - I don't want to wear a leotard or dress up as a ballerina or a stroppy teenager. There's something a bit undignified about it - I'm an old woman now, for goodness sake".
So this may be your last ever chance to see, in their full and undignified glory, these ladies who have become a comic institution (or is that belong in an institution....?) -- www.the-mayflower.com
