Term starts on 8 October and runs to December, with evening and day courses held at the University’s Claverton campus and its city-centre location at Carpenter House.
The last remaining spaces on the extensive programme include courses in photography, web design, health and fitness and history.
In Trace your family history on the net, students can have a go at uncovering their ancestry through websites that explore the census, births, marriages and deaths, together with migration and religious denomination. The course runs as a day school on Saturday 17 November.
For people baffled by modern art, Understanding contemporary visual art gives students the chance to unravel some of the themes behind new art and explore its history and ideology. The weekly course will include a visit to a gallery.
An Introduction to Alexander Technique will teach students how to identify and change potentially harmful postural habits. The friendly and participative weekly course will be of particular interest to people with back pain or other health conditions, and those wishing to improve their performance in the arts, music or sport.
