Reminisce with BalletMet Columbus October 1 – 31 with a nostalgic exhibit of photography in celebration of its 30th anniversary in the Riffe Center Lobby. Admission is free.

Since its start in 1978, BalletMet has added 132 company premieres to its repertoire and produced 109 world premieres. It has garnered national and international recognition through its diverse repertoire, touring and educational programs and commitment to new works. From its beginnings as a small troupe performing in shopping centers and schools, BalletMet has grown into one of the largest ballet companies in the nation.

Its Academy is among thedare to be moved. nation's top five training centers affiliated with a professional Company. In 2005 BalletMet purchased its home downtown and is completing construction of its performance space. The exhibit features photographs of performances throughout BalletMet's 30 years as a professional Company, including rare images of the Company's first performance of The Nutcracker in 1978.

The exhibit also pays tribute to BalletMet's four Artistic Directors: Wayne Soulant, John McFall, David Nixon and current Artistic Director Gerard Charles. The Ohio Arts Council's Riffe Gallery hours are: Tues., 10am–4pm; Wed. – Fri., 10am–8pm; Sat., 12–8pm, and Sun., 12–4pm. The gallery is closed Mondays and state holidays. -- www.balletmet.org
