Sharp’s Booth at CEATEC Japan 2007

Sharp Corporation will be exhibiting at CEATEC JAPAN 2007, one of the world’s leading, comprehensive exhibitions of cutting-edge information technology (IT) and electronics technologies, scheduled to be held October 2 (Tuesday) through 6 (Saturday) at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture.

Sharp will display its unique, one-of-a-kind products in the “Home & Personal Zone” of the Digital Network Stage, including information and communication equipment such as the ever-expanding lineup of AQUOS LCD TVs with full-HD 1080p resolution, from the 108V-inch model, the world’s largest (concept model), to small- and medium-size models, AQUOS Blu-ray Disc Recorders with support for AQUOS Familink, and mobile phones. A scale model of Sharp’s new manufacturing complex to be built in Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture, will give visitors a chance to learn about this facility, which will bring together state-of-the-art LCD panel and solar cell plants. Visitors can also see displays on new Sharp LCD technologies that will deliver thin profiles, high image quality, and advanced environmental performance.

Exhibit Descriptions
1. Main Stage
A 108V-inch prototype LCD TV, the world’s largest, will be the centerpiece of a display of Sharp’s full-HD series LCD TVs with amazing image quality and Double-Speed (120 Hz) Frame Rate Conversion. Visitors are invited to see the full AQUOS line-up, including the flagship high-end R Series, the thin-profile, thin- bezel , and lightweight G Series, and the D Series with multiple color options.

2. Next-Generation LCD Corner
Sharp will offer a way to transform living spaces with the “ultimate LCD TV,” a next-generation concept model that is only 2-cm thick yet boasts superior image quality and amazing energy efficiency.

3. Blu-ray Disc Recorder Corner
Visitors are invited to see the beauty of images that only a Blu-ray Disc can deliver. The exhibit will focus mainly on new Blu-ray Disc recorders that offer outstanding cost/performance value as well as convenient, easy operation similar to using a VCR.

4. New Sakai Plant Exhibit
A scale model will be on display providing an artist’s conception of this “21 st Century Manufacturing Complex,” which will bring together on the same site a state-of-the-art LCD panel plant and thin-film solar cell plant, as well as production facilities of related companies.

5. Mobile Phone & Mobile Communication Tools Corner
Hands-on displays will enable visitors to experience for themselves the high-image–quality screens that only Sharp LCDs can provide as well as the convenience and ease of use of these Sharp products. This display will focus mainly on One-Seg-compatible models and mobile communication tools. -Sharp
