Over the three performances a total of 23,500 people saw performances which featured Thomas Edur and Agnes Oaks, Dariá Klimentova and Freideman Vogel and Vogel with New York City Ballet star Sofiane Sylve.

Craig Hassall, Managing Director of English National Ballet commented:

"To see so many thousands of people enjoying ballet in this magical setting was a real joy. The dancers should be applauded for giving such moving performances. Through our performances at the Palace of Versailles, English National Ballet has reached out to an entirely new audience."

The performances in Versailles brought the 2006/2007 season to a close; this season being English National Ballet's most successful to date with audiences exceeding 280,000. This figure includes the 63,000 people who were at Wembley Stadium for Concert for Diana and the 44,000 people that enjoyed Derek Deane's in the round production of Swan Lake at the Royal Albert Hall. The figure does not include the worldwide television audience for Concert Diana which was over five million.

In 2008 the Company will continue its international touring schedule with performances of Swan Lake in Beijing. This is the first time the Company has toured to China since the days of London Festival Ballet.
