Actress Lois Maxwell, the flirtatious Miss Moneypenny in 14 James Bond films, has died at age 80. Maxwell died Saturday in a hospital in Perth, Australia, where she had lived for the last years of her life. No cause of death was announced.
The Canadian-born Maxwell first played the role in 1962's Dr. No, and continuing playing the character until 1985. The office flirtations and dialogue between Bond and Moneypenny was a highlight of many of the films.
Maxwell also appeared in a number of Hollywood movies and several British television series.
Roger Moore, who played Bond in seven of the films, called Maxwell fun and wonderful to be with. - VOA News
