Don't miss the action-packed opening of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra's Pops Series with music from Jaws, Indiana Jones, Harry Potter and more! The second half of the show is dedicated entirely to the music from Star Wars, in celebration of its 30th anniversary.

These concert events take place Oct. 12-14 at Bass Performance Hall. Performances start at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Miguel Harth-Bedoya conducts.

John Williams has composed the music and served as a music director for more than 100 films. His unforgettable scores have accompanied some of the best films that Hollywood has to offer. He has received 45 Academy Award nominations, most recently for his scores from Memoirs of a Geisha and Munich, making him the Academy's most nominated living person.

He has been awarded five Oscars, seven British Academy Awards (BAFTA), twenty Grammys, four Golden Globes, four Emmys and numerous gold and platinum records. Don't miss this spectacular tribute that explores the best-loved themes of Williams' amazingly prolific career.

These concerts are made possible, in part, by the generous support of Star-Telegram. Promotional support is provided by Star-Telegram and WRR Classical 101.1 FM. -- www.fwsymphony.org
