Children's favourite storybook character Angelina Ballerina appears in her very first live ballet Angelina's Star Performance at the Grand Theatre, Blackpool from Thursday 4th October. And thirty lucky children from Anchorsholme Primary School are arriving at the Grand at 9am on Thursday 4th October for an introduction to ballet workshop with English National Ballet's Laura Hussey who is Miss Lily in Angelina's Star Performance.
The children will be taught basic ballet steps and even a special step from the show itself! They will then have a tour of the newly restored theatre, enjoy a delicious packed lunch and then take their seats for the opening 1.30pm performance of the magical ballet.
In Angelina's Star Performance, feisty mouseling Angelina has been given the honour of putting on her very own performance of The Sleeping Beauty for the Queen in her splendid palace. She even has a real life Princess, Princess Valentine, to star alongside her in the show. It's Angelina's biggest challenge yet... will she manage to pull it off?
This magical introduction to ballet for children from the age of 3 upwards features music from Tchaikovsky's The Sleeping Beauty with dazzling sets and costumes and is performed by eight members of the world-renowned English National Ballet. Don't miss this rare treat to see the little mouse with big dreams dance her pirouettes and grand jetés in front of a live audience for the first time.
