VeriFone Wireless Payment Solutions Selected for Macau

VeriFone's Vx 610 and Vx 670 Systems Ideal Platform for Convenient Consumer Cash Authorization in Asia's Booming Casino Center

VeriFone Holdings, Inc. announced today that its wireless payment solutions have been selected by Global Cash Access, Inc. (GCA), as the portable cash authorization platform it will provide in Macau's booming casinos and other locations worldwide.

GCA, a leading provider of cash access products and related services to the gaming industry, has been beta testing its portable cash authorization application in Atlantic City locations using VeriFone's Vx 610 portable powerhouse with Wi-Fi communications. GCA is completing development of the application for VeriFone's Vx 670, the industry's smallest all-in-one payment solution.

GCA recently announced its entrance into the Macau and Asia Pacific region with a commitment to deliver new technologies and products that result in more transactions, more cash on the casino floor and increased convenience for gaming patrons. Macau is often referred to as the Las Vegas of Asia, with an economy focused on tourism and gaming and related activities accounting for about one-third of economic activity.

The Vx 670 is the smallest all-in-one wireless handheld payment device designed for consumer-facing payment use in places such as restaurants, bars and stadiums, as well as delivery operations. The Vx 610 is a robust portable payment system that is available for use with Wi-Fi, CDMA, and GPRS.
