Ice Dancers to Poland, Boardmen to Netherlands, Karamyan to Stay in Romania

Wrestling:
Armenia's Greco-Roman wrestlers Vahan Juharyan (60kg), Arman Adikyan (66kg) and Arsen Julfalakyan (74kg) won gold medals in the Henry Delaney international memorial tournament that recently ended in Nice, France.

Freestyle wrestlers Hayk Yeghikyan and Artur Arakelyan took the 3rd and 5th places respectively in the 60 kg category. Zhirayr Hovhannisyan (66 kg) took the 2nd place, and Garsevan Vardanyan (74 kg), Edgar Yenokyan (84 kg) and Harutyun Yenokyan (96 kg) took the third place.

Ice-dancing:
Armenian ice-dancing pair Anastasia Grebenkina and Vazgen Azroyan will participate in the European Figure Skating Championships scheduled for January 18-28 in Warsaw, Poland. More than 30 ice-dancing pairs are due to take part in the competition.

Grebenkina-Azroyan will also participate in the World Figure Skating Championships due to be held in Tokyo, Japan, in March 2007.

Chess:
Armenian grandmasters Levon Aronyan and Gabriel Sargsyan will take part in the Corus tournament in Wijk aan Zee, Netherlands on 12th-28th January 2007.

Football:
Armenia midfielder Artavazd Karamyan is likely to stay with his current club Rapid Bucharest.
FC Dynamo Kiev managers, who had shown interest in Karamyan's services, said they no longer wanted to see the midfielder in their club. Besides, Karamyan reportedly had come to agreement with the management of his current club Rapid. He is expected to renew his contract which is due to expire in late December.

Under a new deal Karamyan is expected to receive a salary of 160,000 euros, which is nearly twice as much as his current salary.
