Early morning the fashionable market con naught Place, Mayur Bhawan New Delhi a multistory building is engulfed with fire at fourth floor, and soon spread to fifth and sixth floor.Mayur Bhawan has offices of income Tax and provident fund and other revenue offices.Fire station is adjacent to this building within 500 Meter and soon forty fire tenders reached at the spot to douse the fire.Water jet once able to crash the window glasses made water reach inside the building and the spreading of the fire could controlled.By the time the fire tenders first pressed in service twenty five later increased to forty as the fire spread ed to 5 th and 6 th floor.
As latest reports the fire tenders are on the job and is able to dilute its intensity with fire smoke.There is no word of causality and cause of fire is still to be investigated.The offices are completely gutted in three floors of Mayur Bhawan a building at connaught Place between Minto road and barakhamba road.
The early morning workers and peoples of the area have gathered to witness the towering inferno. News is being telecast ed in all TV channels.
