
Assistant Conductor Carolyn Kuan will lead Seattle Symphony in the third Discover Music! concert of the season. The program will feature Copland's Music for the Theatre (accompanied by the ARC Dance Company), the overture to Rossini's The Barber of Seville and selections from Mendelssohn's A Midsummer Night's Dream.
The Seattle Flute Society will perform one hour prior to the concert as part of the pre-concert activity in the lobby. The Discover Music! series is designed for children ages 5 to 12 and their families and will take place Saturday, Jan. 13, at 11 a.m. and Saturday, Jan. 20, at 11 a.m.
Enhancement Classes will be offered in conjunction with Music for the Theatre on Sunday, Jan. 7, at 1 and 2:30 p.m. Each session will last one hour and include musical fun with games and crafts based on the concert theme. Classes are held in Soundbridge Seattle Symphony Music Discovery Center and are limited to 20 students.
Single tickets are $20 adult/$15 children & seniors.
