Fingers Around The World Continues To Africa

The FINGERS AROUND THE WORLD series continues to see Alice off into another Wonderland. The audience will accompany her to the continent of Africa, her third stop, where they will ride an elephant on a safari and learn all about the history and culture from one country to another.

This 50 to 60 minute performance concludes with the ever popular, Your Game. Your Game has been requested and antic ipated for every season the LTD has performed. The Little Theatre of the Deaf is acclaimed for this interactive improvisatory piece. The audience is asked for a suggestion of a machine, or an animal, or anything at all. Then, the fun begins. Entertaining and educating children and adults through their performances for almost forty years, The Little Theatre of the Deaf has performed in all 50 states and in many foreign countries. Most recently, you have watched members of an LTD cast on Sesame Street for its 36th season!

Included in our educational partnership is our Study Together Guide, providing material about the performance, exercises and activities to do in the classroom pre and post performance. The Tony-Award winning National Theatre of the Deaf (NTD) is proud to introduce the 2006-07 touring season of the Little Theatre of the Deaf (LTD), performing the third adventure in its Fingers around the World series.

Distinguished by its unique theatrical style, an LTD performance unfolds in two languages: American Sign Language and spoken English. With this, the Company has created a new dramatic art form: one for the eye and one for the ear, you See and Hear every word.
