
Wife of democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama Michelle, who is in Iowa campaigning for her husband was involved in a car accident with a motorcyclist. The motorcyclist was injured and airlifted to the nearby hospital.
Michelle Obama and the campaign members, who were in a minivan were not injured.
According to Chicago Tribune the accident took place at 3:35 in a two line road close to Hampton in Iowa.
"There was no indication that alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash, the sheriff's department said.
"Barack and Michelle's thoughts and prayers are with him and his family at this time," the campaign said in a statement."
Earlier press release from Barack Obama's campaign inforted that Michelle Obama returned to Iowa for 2-day trip.
