Electronic Design Magazine Selects Tektronix Real-Time Spectrum Analyzer for Best Technology and Design for 2006
Tektronix, Inc., a leading worldwide provider of test, measurement and monitoring instrumentation, today announced that Electronic Design Magazine has chosen the RSA6100A Real-time Spectrum Analyzer for the Best Technology and Design Award for 2006, the only test and measurement instrument receiving the honor. The selections for the best technologies of the year appear in the December, 2006 issue of the magazine or online http://www.electronicdesign.com/Issues/IssueID/532/532.html.
The field of candidates began with the hundreds of briefings and demonstrations Electronic Design's editors participate in each year. Looking at the key technologies covered in the magazine's pages and online during the year, together with reader feedback, the technical editors chose the products and solutions they feel had the greatest impact on design this year.
"The 'Best Electronic Design' issue highlights some of the technologies most significant to advancing electronic design, like the RSA6100A," said Mark David, Editor-in-Chief of Electronic Design magazine. "Whether testing advanced radio technologies like software-defined radio (SDR), 4G cell phone and broadband wireless, multicarrier power amps, radar, or any other communications or wireless device, this analyzer brings some useful new features and so exemplifies what we are trying to achieve in bringing the years' significant innovations to our readers. All communications and wireless engineers need the best spectrum analyzer they can afford, and Tektronix' RSA6100A real-time spectrum analyzer really stands out. The best new technologies help our readers produce the best designs faster."
"We appreciate the recognition for our RSA6100A Real-Time Spectrum Analyzer from the editors of Electronic Design magazine," said Rick King, Vice President, Spectrum Analyzer Product Line, Tektronix, Inc. "Tektronix recognized several years ago that digital RF technologies utilized in an increasingly broad range of end user devices from multimedia PDAs to sophisticated radar systems create a highly complex technical environment and the need for test tools whose capabilities mirror the time-varying nature of today's RF signals. The RSA6100A series of Real-Time Spectrum Analyzers are the most capable and effective instruments available for solving even the most demanding digital RF test challenges."
