AT&T Offers Discounted Wireless Calling to Mexico

AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) today announced a new rate of 5 cents a minute for wireless customers in the United States who call landline numbers in Mexico. The rate is part of the AT&T World Connect Mexico calling plan.

AT&T World Connect Mexico provides discounted calling rates from wireless phones in the U.S. to Mexico, and more than 220 other countries, for a $3.99 monthly recurring charge.

Studies show that Hispanics spend more on their monthly wireless and long distance services than the national average, and Mexico is at the top of the list for international calling destinations.

The 5 cents a minute rate is a special offer available for customers who sign up for AT&T World Connect Mexico from Oct. 15, 2007 to Jan. 15, 2008. These customers will continue to enjoy the 5 cents a minute rate after the offer period ends, unlike promotional rates from competitive carriers that are valid for a limited time only.

The new rate offers an attractive alternative to international calling cards, and the service charges of AT&T World Connect Mexico are straightforward, easy-to-understand and appear on the monthly AT&T bill. Customers also benefit from the flexibility, convenience and broad network coverage of their AT&T wireless handsets.

"Mexico is the No. 1 international destination that AT&T's wireless customers call, and this promotional rate will enable them to reach out to loved ones and business associates more often," said Carlton Hill, vice president of Voice Products and Devices for AT&T's wireless unit. "Customers want the flexibility to make international calls from wireless handsets at a reasonable rate, and AT&T continues to design more plans that address this need."

To sign up for AT&T World Connect Mexico, customers can call 866-246-4852 or visit any AT&T retail store.-AT&T
