Motorola’s 2210 Gateway brings Motorola’s legendary ease of use to ADSL2+ subscribers. On first connection to the network, the 2210 gateway “phones home” to the service provider’s hosted NBBS broadband server, enabling automated service provisioning, software updates, and service activation, all without subscriber intervention. The gateway also boasts robust security features including a built-in firewall to protect users from hackers and denial-of-service (DoS) attacks.
The 2210 is optimized to deliver cost savings to carriers at every stage of the supply chain. The size of a pop-up Post-it® dispenser and weighing in at under a pound, the 2210 is well positioned to reduce storage and handling costs. In addition, the “no-touch” automated provisioning reduces the need for truck-roll, whilst its intelligent software features and diagnostics reduce the cost of ongoing customer support. The integrated Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet (PPPoE) client further reduces operational costs by eliminating additional software licensing costs. Furthermore, the gateway is powered by an Infineon Technologies AR7 ADSL 2/2+ System on Chip to deliver the best possible price/performance ratio in its class.
