Located at 2923 Bradley St. in Pasadena, the new center joins CSC’s community of five other innovation centers in the United Kingdom, Denmark, India, Australia and Chantilly, Va.
The organization has already begun its first project – a telepresence pilot with NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). Under the project, CSC will use high-definition video conferencing equipment to explore telepresence, a concept that incorporates technologies to give people in different locations the feeling of being in the same room.
“We’re pleased our first project is with JPL – a client we’ve worked with for many years,” said Tom Anderson, president of CSC’s Civil Division. “As we collaborate with our global network of innovation centers and technology- and industry-specific centers of excellence, we look forward to exploring innovative solutions that help customers increase efficiency and improve business results.”
CSC’s innovation centers are part of the company’s Leading Edge Forum (LEF). The LEF provides clients with access to CSC’s knowledge base and global network of thought leaders. It also aligns proven practice to emerging trends and industry best practices, and stimulates innovation and thought leadership through a broad portfolio of programs.
