Gilbert & Sullivan’s classic 1875 one-act comic opera, “Trial By Jury”, is the story of a judge, jury, and the public, hearing a breach of promise case. Under Artistic Director Stephanie Lynne Smith with stage direction by Michael Mohammed, LGCSF has adapted “TBJ” to a modern-day Castro Street bar scene.
Along with “Trial By Jury”, the show features a delightful mix of the small ensemble cabaret performances that have made LGCSF famous. With over-the-top costumes and queer themes, this edgy but entirely family-friendly show provides a glorious night of entertainment.
Don’t miss Autumnal OUTing, the opening show of what promises to be an adventurous 27th season for the Lesbian/Gay Chorus of San Francisco! Theatre Rhino (2926 16th Street at South Van Ness) is reachable by BART (16th and Mission station), and Muni lines above and underground. Street parking is available on South Van Ness between 14th and 16th Streets, and there is a parking garage on 16th Street between Mission and Valencia. -- www.therhino.org
