Saddam's execution is unstoppable, says PM Malik

Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki said on Friday that the execution sentence against ousted President Saddam Hussein "has entered its executive stages"¦and no one can stop it."

Saddam's death sentence is upheld by the Iraqi court.

Receiving martyrs' families on Friday, Maliki said: "It's just a matter of time."
The Iraqi premier, in the meeting carried by the official al-Iraqiya TV, said that anyone objecting the execution of Saddam is actually "trivializing the blood of Iraq's martyrs."

The Higher Criminal Court's appeals body, presided by Judge Aref al-Shahin, had upheld on Tuesday the death sentence handed down against Saddam and two of his aides.

Shahin said the ruling "must be enforced in one month as of the date of endorsement."
