Modern and Contemporary Masterworks At Houston Museum

One of the Museum Of Fine Arts, Houston greatest strengths is the collection of modern and contemporary paintings and sculpture, but no permanent galleries yet exist to showcase this outstanding collection.

Modern and Contemporary Masterworks focuses primarily on artists that the museum holds in great depth. The exhibition will be on view from December 8, 2007 to March 2, 2008, at Audrey Jones Beck Building.

For the first time, visitors can see all three of the museum´s Jasper Johns paintings on view together. Other artists richly represented in the exhibition include Richard Diebenkorn, Philip Guston, Franz Kline, Robert Motherwell, Jackson Pollock, and Richard Pousette-Dart.
