Gary Zerola, a Boston defense attorney formerly voted one of People Magazine's most eligible bachelors, was arrested Friday after allegedly drugging and raping a FIU student in a Miami Beach hotel room.
Zerola, 36, met the women at a Miami nightclub reports MiamiHerald.com. After having some drinks the two checked into the Catalina Hotel where Zerola allegedly attacked her.
"He held her face with his hand and forced her to take an unknown amount of pills with an unknown liquid," said the report, obtained by MiamiHerald.com
The attorney who, in addition to the feature in People Magazine, was a candidate for the NBC reality show 'The Bachelor', is already accused in two other sexual assault cases in Massachusetts. After Zerola's arrest and sexual battery charge in Miami, Massachusetts has filed to revoke his bond.
The women claims, according to the MiamiHerald.com, that she woke up next to Mr. Zerola bloody and naked but Zerola denies wrong doing saying he didn't have sex with her.
