Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law that ratifies the International Convention Against Doping in Sport.
The Russian Duma approved the legislation earlier this month, and it was later approved by the Federation Council.
The convention obligates signatory countries to take appropriate measures against the practice of doping in sport and encourages cooperation with the World Anti-Doping Agency.
